STUNT FIGHTING WORKSHOP
This 2 day Course is for individuals wanting to pursue a career in stunts or for those actors wanting to increase their physical performance skills, The instructors are
some of New Zealands leading Stunt Performers and Coordinators.
Not only will we teach the students every type of punch and kick that they will need
to know, more importantly, the students will learn to ACT it out.
At NZ Stunt School, every student will learn how to fight, choreograph, and camera angles for a videotape fight test, armed and unarmed, We will do an introduction to stunts going over stunt terminology and set etiquette and were to go from here to get you started in your career in stunts.
We will cover every situation if you are needed to do a stunt fight from choreographing your own background fight, to doubling the lead character, to fighting as your own character (Acting) and anything else that might come in handy in a stunt fight!
WIREWORK/AERIAL WORKSHOP
In This 1 day Workshop we will be covering all aspects of wirework and aerial awareness, which is especially useful for film and television where you are needed to be superhuman or for stage shows or even for actors that may have to go into harness at some stage in there career.
You will experience Jerk backs, front somersaults, back somersaults, side summersaults, spinning, wraps, dead men, and also aerial awareness on a mini tramp and anything else that may come in handy when asked to go into a harness rig.
You will learn in a wide range of harnesses from jerk vests, corset harness and hong kong
harness.
You will be learning simple checks and procedures that you should do every time you get into your harness to ensure your own safety and also for your own peace of mind.
HIGH FALLS BEGINNERS WORKSHOP
The High fall is one of the most spectacular wireless stunts in film and television. Students will begin falling at approximately ten feet, working their way up. High falls seem simple enough but they require a great deal of respect, precision and technique to ensure a safe landing.
In film there are 4 types of falls; Header, Face Off, Back Fall and Sit Fall. Each fall possesses it own technique, body position and control in order to ensure your landing on the Airbag, Mat or Box Rig is precise, safe and believable. In this workshop you will gain the necessary skills and knowledge to execute a safe and accurate High Fall. Whether you are a beginner, or simply want to enhance your awesomeness this workshop is for you.
