Whether you're dreaming of becoming a professional stunt performer or simply curious about the world of action filmmaking, training with NZ Stunt School gives you a pathway to grow, get seen, and go further.
Getting started is easy. If you're not sure whether the stunt industry is for you, take our free online course designed to introduce you to the fundamentals of screen fighting, safety, and on-set etiquette. It’s a great way to test the waters before committing to full training.
When you're ready to take the next step, sign up for our signature Fight for Camera (FFC) workshop — a two-day, in-person experience developed by Dayna Pomare Pai, a working stunt coordinator and proud member of the NZ Stunt Guild.
This intensive workshop lays the foundation for your entire stunt journey, covering:
Punches, kicks, and reactions
Falls and safety rolls
Sells and screen angles
Sword and weapon basics
Set etiquette and teamwork
Completing FFC course unlocks access to monthly training, specialised workshops, and our NZSS Challenges, where students can submit video performances for feedback and prizes.
Once you’ve completed Fight for Camera, you can continue developing your skills through our growing library of in-person and remote sessions, including:
High falls
Water stunts
Wire work
Car hits
Fire burns
Tactical movement
Horse stunts
Air ram & more
We welcome both beginner and professional stunt performers, including international talent looking to sharpen their skills while visiting or living in New Zealand.
At NZ Stunt School, being an active student means visibility. Every training, every challenge, and every reel you submit becomes part of how you build a name in the stunt industry.
Stunt work is built on reputation, consistency, and professional behaviour — and your journey with NZSS gives you space to grow, connect, and get noticed.
You can even get your stunt reel reviewed by our instructors or submit your training videos for professional feedback.
We now also offer remote monthly training access, so no matter where you are, you can keep improving with us.
