NZ Stunt School offers in-person workshops and online training for all levels from complete beginners to working professionals. - Start your journey with our Fight for Camera (FFC) course to unlock access to specialised stunt training and the NZ Action Talent Agency (NZAT). - You can also explore our free online courses to learn more about the film and stunt industry before taking your first class.

All NZ Stunt School courses and workshops can be found on our Training & Events page. 🟢 Fight for Camera and public courses are open to everyone. 🔒⭐ Members-only and advanced training become accessible once you’ve completed Fight for Camera (FFC) or received approval from our team.
Most in-person sessions are held in Auckland, while online training is available worldwide. Start with Fight for Camera to unlock full member access and begin your professional stunt training pathway.

1- Introductory & Beginner Training

Our entry-level courses are designed for beginners, actors, and extras who are curious about screen combat, reactions, and on-set stunt performance — no experience needed! Whether you train in person or online, you’ll learn the fundamentals of safe movement, rolls, reactions, and set etiquette — everything you need to build a solid foundation. Start with: - Fight for Camera (FFC) – 2-day intensive covering stunt basics, reactions, choreography, and on-set professionalism Completing the FFC unlocks your NZSS Member Access, allowing you to join advanced stunt programs and specialised workshops.

2- After FFC – Unlock Advanced Training

Once you’ve completed FFC or have been approved through prior experience, you’ll gain access to Members-Only Training, including:
- Scenario-based training sessions applying multiple stunt skills (falls, reactions, acting, teamwork). Each month features a new stunt theme for all levels. - Open Gym for qualified performers to maintain fitness and safely practise stunt fundamentals under supervision. - Specialised Workshops: In-depth technical training on professional stunt disciplines such as: - High Falls & Crash Mats - Car Hits & Precision Driving - Fire Burns (Partial & Full) - Wire Work, Air Rams & Ratchets - Water Stunts & Tactical Scenarios These workshops include online learning components so students can prepare before and review after each session. All sessions are held in Auckland, unless otherwise stated.

Acting for Action & Screen

Our Acting for Action program helps performers combine emotional storytelling with physical performance. Learn how to connect acting and movement for film, improve your reactions, and create believable on-camera performances. Training covers: - Physical acting for screen and action scenes - On-set communication and blocking for camera - Emotional reactions, timing, and continuity - Self-tape and audition preparation Courses or Classes are offered both in person and online, suitable for actors, extras, and stunt performers seeking to expand their screen range.

Horse Acting & Stunt Riding

Our Horse Acting & Stunt Riding courses combine horsemanship, acting, and stunt coordination for film and TV productions. You’ll learn to ride confidently, handle horses safely, and perform choreographed mounted stunts. We offer: - Horse Riding Lessons – Riding, mounted archery, and horse control for film - Stunt & Trick Riding (Teens & Adults) – Learning controlled falls, tack handling, and performance awareness for camera Training is led by the NZ Horse Team, based in Hunua, Auckland, and open to both performers and newcomers (no prior experience required).
